Did someone say it's spring?! Could've fooled me! But I'm hopeful that warmer weather is just around the corner, so I decided to blend up a deliciously fruity blend as our featured tea of the month.
Introducing April's Sangria Tea!
Sangria is one of my favourite spring/summer drinks. It's refreshing, colourful and full of flavour. But there's one problem. If you're thinking about keeping your waste line in check, you may want to think twice before guzzling down a whole pitcher. So I figured...why not make a tea version that has amazing health benefits and is free of all the added sugar?! Perfecto!
The base of our sangria blend is red rooibos, a plant native to South Africa. It's naturally caffeine free, has a rich antioxidant and mineral profile and has also been shown to have a calming effect on the digestive system. To give our tea that characteristic tart flavour we've added elderberries, rosehips and hibiscus. These ingredients are all rich in Vitamin C which is an important component in collagen production - the key protein that plays a critical role in the structure of our body. Think about it, every sip you take you'll be doing wonders for your health! Who wouldn't want that... :)
