Original recipe by Ashleigh Grange, RHN, CNE
Makes 6 servings
What You Need
1 ½ tsp Soothe tea by The Honest Leaf [link: http://thehonestleaf.com/product/soothe]
½ cup hot water
3 slightly underripe pears, washed, sliced and cored
Juice of ½ lemon
1-2 Tbsp real maple syrup
1 Tbsp melted coconut oil
How to Make It
Steep 1 ½ tsp Soothe tea in ½ cup hot water for 5 minutes.
While the tea steeps, place the sliced pears in an oven-safe dish with a cover. Squeeze the lemon juice evenly over both sides of the pears and lay them cut side down.
Strain the tea. Mix the maple syrup and coconut oil with the steeped tea and pour evenly over the pears.
Cover and bake at 350° for 20-25 minutes or just until fork tender.
Serve warm with the stewing liquid and top with shredded coconut, sliced almonds or other nuts if desired.
